Don Emde In Studio To Talk About His Cannon Ball Project, Sunday, April 13.
San Diego, CA - April 11, 2014 - This Sunday, Bike Week Radio Show is pleased to welcome our friend and riding buddy Don Emde, a former winner of the 1972 Daytona 200 and Editor-in-Chief of Parts Magazine. Don has been working for three years on a project to retrace and document the route of an amazing 11-1/2 day coast-to-coast motorcycle ride back in 1914 by America's first true Adventure bike rider, Erwin G. Baker, better known today as "Cannon Ball" Baker. Emde's "Cannon Ball Project" concept was to locate and ride Baker's 3,378-mile route from San Diego to New York. In some cases, the old roads no longer existed and current roads and highways were taken to establish a current coast to coast route.
